Asics x Patta GEL Saga.

16 Dec

So i got this opportunity from Lee over at Patta to do this promotional video for the upcoming shoe they we’re going to do with Asics. This is all Amsterdam mode so I got some nice shots of the shoes, and went out for a night in the city to get the classic canals, bikeracks, all that stuff. Stabilized almost all the footage with the Warper in CS5.5 and graded it til’ the way i liked it. Live today, i proudly present this video! Biggup!

Supreme x Vans.

25 Jan

Supreme and Vans gets together once again and releases the Mike Carrol, looks dope, but i dont really like the color-way. Would be nice if they dropped something black/white, like the half cab. Old new i know, but i thought it was worth mention. images via @nsb

Never really been down with Maestro Knows and all of that he is doing, haters gonna hate i know. But it all feels a bit bullshit. Although this interview with Bay Area Benny Gold was quite nice.

SB Spring.

Theotis Beasleyes new dunk looks pretty sick with the safari pattern. Pretty down with the Bruins and the red Janoski. Looking solid as always, except the P.rod 4, the big blue one. Horrible, just horrible.

The douchebag Steve Berra himself made this for the Berrics. Pretty nice story about the HUF brand though.

Dunk Hi x Haroshi.

30 Nov

(via Hybebeast)

NewImage.jpg

Primarily known for creating three-dimensional sculptures from recycled skate decks, haroshi recently created this version of the Nike Dunk. The special edition Dunk was actually created from decks belonging to skaters from Nike’s own pro skate team and include boards from the likes of: P-Rod, Lance Mountain, Eric Koston, Brian Anderson, Cory Kennedy and many more. The pair is actually modelled on a pair of haroshi’s own well-worn shoes. These detailed shots (exclusive to Hypebeast and of course Nike themselves), illustrate each of the creases, crimps and even the knotted laces worked into the sculptures. Interestingly the curvature of the decks accurately matches that of the used Dunk, which is portrayed as a hidden message within the art. A second subliminal message is found under X-ray scanning, where “Sole in soul” is revealed, making a pun from the skate artwork that finds itself on the underside of the shoe.

Vans Syndicate.

Had a great day around Paris today. Started with some Notre Dam and then just walked around the city and ended up at the The Arc de Triomphe.

Had three stores i really wanted to go to, first up Opium that had the craziest museum of Jordans and runners, even a pair of OG Air Max 1′s, took bunch of photos. Anyway was suppose to go to Colette but we went lost and ended up at some place called Scarecrow.

They had some Supreme stuff, Hundreds, Nike SB, Penfield ye just a lot of pretty decent stuff. Though i would find some Dunk lows there but even better. I found a pair that i have been looking for a really long time. Was trying to cop them in the Oakland vans store when they were released but it was all sold out, but here they had both the Authentics and the Half Cab mountains. The inner sole is so nice and the red leather mixed with suede makes it looks so fucking premium. And that you got a pair of handlebars with the box made it even better. So stoked for these the coming summer! Now its time for some food and then clubbing, utz utz!

Building.

11 Oct

Designed by Coll-Barreu Arquitectos, the Basque Health Department building looks like it came straight out of a Spiderman movie. It’s façade looks sinister and foreboding, perfect as Venom’s lair…

The striking façade is a shell of glass placed at irregular angles. The folds generate multiple reflections visible from the inside, changing its appearance depending on the point of view, the hour, and the season. The façade is also an energy efficient double skin that insulates heat, reduces noise, and lets in precious natural light.

The 99,000 sq ft (9,200 sq m) space is divided in seven floors for offices, two levels for institutional and representative uses, meeting rooms in the tower, an auditorium with 150 seats in the basement, and 3 underground levels for parking.

That lobby in the last picture is just so stunning.
