Looking forward to this weekend!

Tonight I’ll do some cool stuff for Bastards that are launching a new really interesting project. Also got a gig tomorrow at Studio K with the Green Room. The latest two weeks have been quite intense so it is really gonna be nice to get shitfaced and do awesome stuff. Also a 2 week vacation is coming up in only 8 days! BLUUUKKU!

So, for not been on this thingie lately quite a lot of things has happened. For one which I am really pumped about is this new project at work, gonna be pretty intense now when I go on vacation for two weeks but hope we will prepare it enough so the freelancer can take good care of it while I’m gone!

Also moved to a new adress! Columbusplein 24-III is now the new place and carrying up all the stuff to the third floor was kind of a bitch. Specially after 4 hours on IKEA. Holy fuck how i hate that place. I seriously become like an angry dad, trying to hit people with that little cart.

Anyway, the hard working weeks have really made me looking forward to me and Mathildas vacation in 10 days. 2 weeks on Zakynthos in Greece. Gonna be nice getting away from the shitty weather in Amsterdam and just do nothing for a little while. Have beers for lunch and get some sun!

From that vacation to an other. Took me quite a while to edit some images from our earlier vacation this year in Gothenburg. Will try to check this blog more often. Enjoy more as usuals on the flickr

So, Friday is finally here. Pretty much been stressing out the latest week on this but i managed to produce a lot of new stuff for tonight. Here is some screens from the set. If you are in Amsterdam, do not forget to come out to Trouw tonight, this night is going to be epic!

Sitting here and preparing my VJ set for Trouw this Friday. Super stoked about this one, with Kode9, Ikonika, Sakka and Cinnaman. Kind of sucked I only got a 7 days of notice so pretty much working my ass of this week to make it as epic as it always is! Setup changed though so no more standing aside of the DJ doing my thing, which kind of sucks because obviously that is the most fun.

Now I think im going to sit in the back with the light guy figuring stuff over there. Anyway, pretty busy so no heavy updates, though I’ll share some of my latest Vimeo likes. And if you are in Amsterdam this Friday, dont forget to come to Trouw!

FB Event.

Woke up early this Sunday morning. As I might been telling earlier, the summer here does not exist. At least not this year. This morning i actually woke up by the rain smashing on the window. Latest week has been crazy, thunder and crazy rain. Though we were going to get some summer now in August because July was really really like 8 days of sun, the rest rain or cold as fuck. Anyway…

Update on the million, the money is gone and i got 8kr in interest for having them on my savings account, haha. So that story is over, time to get on with the real life.

So Saturday there was a big sneaker convention in town. Sneakerness. Think they are touring around in Europe right now with a lot of sellers and exhibitors. Walked around for like 3 hours checking out everything. Was nice seeing some stuff I only seen on images. Nike SB’s like Paris, Tiffany, The Three Bears, Floom and so on. Super nice, walked around for almost three hours checkin’ it all out.

Was hard finding some decent stuff in my size but at least I walked away with 6 old Sneakerfreaker issues that I didn’t had, one pair of Nike SB Dunk Lo Wieger’s and a Undefeated cap. Been looking for them Dunks for a long time since i skated them to parts almost 4 years ago. Well, here is some images. As usual more on my flickr.

The day as a millionaire is over.

After yesterday with a lot of comments and all of that i actually began to think that it might be a fraud, scam or somebody just trying to make fun of me. I really had my doubts. But that was until I checked my bank account this morning and realized that i actually had six zeros more then usual.

It would be even more fun if Hyper Island could not get a hold of me yesterday and to check if the salary has got in yet and find out you either got a huge raise, some bonus or something just had went really, really, really wrong.

The thought of just keeping them was obviously there and i had especially two things that i thought i could do with them. I mean i could probably come up with 1000′s of stuff to do with the money but these were stuck in my head.

1. Add some more and get a decent apartment
2. Make a viral video with “How to spend 1 million SEK in two weeks” and just fly around in like the US and just have the awesomest two weeks I will ever have in my life.

It is weird though how 1 million does not get you a lot anymore. I mean being a kid i remember that amount was only heard in movies about bank robbers or somebody hit the 0.000001% on the lottery. I mean i can’t even buy a decent central place to live anymore for that kind of money.

Well well, I hope you enjoyed this as much as i did, even if it only lasted for 24 hours. Something to remember. At least you guys maybe want to double check next time you transfer 1.000.000 to someone?

It seems like my bank does not want to transfer the money back. Have tried several times now but when everything should be done it just says that the payment has been revoked. E-mailing the bank now to see whats up, keep you posted!

Apparently i can only transfer 250.000 SEK a day. Have to call some number about it, keep you posted!

The limit of transfer money is only on 250k and if i want to be able to raise that limit the bank must help me. Tried to call the number but their office closed at 20.00, which was 5 minutes ago. Guess i will be a millionare one more day!

August 23rd 2011 is the day I, Hampus Lideborg became a millionaire.

(Notice before reading this I have done nothing wrong. I want to go out with this though because it can be one of the most awesome thing that has happened to me for some time. I will not leave any names except the company that is behind this.)

Sat at work as usual this cold, yet sunny Tuesday afternoon in Amsterdam minding my own business. Probably rendering out some scene or tweaking a small animation when the office assistant came with the phone and said I had a call. This is pretty unusual though nobody ever calls me to the office, of course i wondered what was up.

The call was from Hyper Island. My previous school that I graduated two years back. Directly though that it had something to do with an email i sent to them last Thursday asking for a copy of my diploma that i needed for various reasons. But the person on the phone sounded stressed and one of the first sentences was “I have made a mistake and want you to please help me to fix this.”

I though OK, lets help this person, who definitely seemed a bit desperate. So the person started explaining about the problem. Apparently a money transfer went wrong and I was above the person/company in the list so by a honest mistake the money had been transferred to me instead. They were going to show up on my account tomorrow at noon and I should transfer the money directly back.

Laughed quietly about the whole situation to make the person on the other line not feel bad, which i understood he/she felt. A lot. But felt that I should know how much it was, because a small mistake like this could have happened to anyone. The person in the phone said slowly, “Yeah, here is the problem. It is 1.000.000 Kronor.”

Got damn! I just realized i would have 1 million kronors on my account and kind of lost my breath. Thoughts started directly what i could do with 1 million and believe me, the list goes long. For you that don’t know 1.000.000 Swedish Kronor is around 110.000€, 150.000$ or 92.000£. It is not enough to get me a jet and fly around the world. But for me, 23 year old with never more then 1000€ on my account it felt quite awesome. Even if it was just for 1 day.

So right there, i became a 1 day millionaire. I don’t give a shit about it just being for 24 hours. Checking my account tomorrow with six zeros more than usual is definitely going to deserve a screenshot. Anyway, will follow this up tomorrow. Feel free to spread the story or whatever you want.

Here is the email i got after the phone call. It says.

“Hello Hampus, Thank you for your help! It has been quite a stressful day until i got a hold of you. The bank account is *********. And the amount is 1.000.000 Kronor. Thanks again!”

Mellow Sunday, waking up late n shit. 25 degrees out so didnt really wanna sit at home. Went out skating at Ghettopark. Lasted for like 2 hours before 4 liters of water was gone and i was dying slowly. Went home and continued with some particle stuff. So fun!
